3500 conkers from Kington Primary School Eco Committee spell out the 350 message!
Kington Primary School Eco Committee has joined in with an international campaign to persuade people all over the world to produce less Carbon Dioxide, CO2.
The 350 campaign is holding a worldwide day of action this Saturday and, as part of the campaign, children at Kington Primary collected conkers and laid them out to make a huge 350. This is the number of parts per million of CO2 that scientists think is the safe level if we are going to stop global warming. (www.350.org)
Despite their young age and the complexity of the science of climate change, the members of the Eco Committee feel it is really important to join the action and tell everyone how concerned they are about the future safety of their planet.
